Chad Lingenfelter is a distinguished builder and the owner of Payne Homes, a testament to his dedication and expertise in the construction industry. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Chad spent his formative years in Goshen, Kentucky, where he developed a keen interest in building and design from an early age. His educational journey began at Oldham County High School, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

In 1989, Chad took a significant step towards his career by enrolling at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) in Richmond. Over the next five years, he immersed himself in his studies, majoring in both Business and Biology, a combination that would later serve him well in his professional life. This period was marked by hard work, dedication, and a growing passion for his future career path.

After graduating from EKU in 1994, Chad embarked on his professional journey, initially stepping into the healthcare industry. He worked for Winn Dixie Pharmacy for nearly a decade, from 1994 to 2003, where he honed his skills in customer service, management, and attention to detail—skills that would prove invaluable in his future career in home building.

In 2003, Chad's career took a pivotal turn when he joined Payne Homes. His transition into the building industry was driven by a passion for creating spaces that families could call home. A year after joining Payne Homes, Chad became QuickBooks Certified, further enhancing his business acumen and operational efficiency within the company.

On a personal front, Chad is happily married to Andrea, and together they have celebrated 26 years of marriage. The couple has been blessed with two sons, Garrett, who is 18, and Gavin, who is 22. Chad's family is the cornerstone of his life, providing him with support and inspiration.

Outside of his professional life, Chad is an avid enthusiast of lake life, finding solace and rejuvenation by the water. Fishing is one of his favorite pastimes, offering him a chance to connect with nature and enjoy the tranquility it brings. Traveling also plays a significant role in Chad's life, allowing him and his family to explore new places, cultures, and experiences, enriching their lives beyond the confines of their daily routines.
